Effective Date: May 6, 2026
Welcome to the American Health Equity Association (“AHEA,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website, membership offerings, digital tools, educational content, and related services.
By using this website or any AHEA digital tool, you agree to these Terms.
1. About AHEA
AHEA provides educational, professional-development, and digital support tools for individuals and organizations working in health equity, public health, nonprofit leadership, policy, advocacy, and related fields.
Our tools and resources are intended to support reflection, planning, writing, and professional development. They are not a substitute for legal, medical, financial, clinical, or professional advice.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a membership or use paid AHEA digital tools.
By using our services, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to use the email address and payment method provided.
3. Memberships and Paid Access
AHEA may offer monthly or annual memberships that provide access to digital tools, resources, or other benefits.
Membership purchases may be processed through Squarespace or another third-party payment provider. Your payment information is handled by the payment processor, not directly by AHEA.
Paid access is associated with the email address used during membership purchase or account verification. You are responsible for using the correct email address when signing up, purchasing, or accessing tools.
4. Free Trial or Limited Free Use
AHEA may offer limited free use of selected tools. Free access limits are determined and enforced by AHEA’s backend systems.
AHEA may change or discontinue free trial limits at any time.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the website or tools. You may not:
attempt to bypass access controls, usage limits, or payment requirements;
interfere with the security or operation of the website;
use automated scraping, abuse, or excessive requests;
upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing content;
use the tools to generate content for unlawful, discriminatory, deceptive, or harmful purposes;
attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or exploit the tools or backend systems.
6. AI-Generated Content
Some AHEA tools may use artificial intelligence to generate drafts, suggestions, summaries, or other outputs.
AI-generated outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate for your specific situation. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying any output before relying on it or sharing it.
AHEA does not guarantee that AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, original, or suitable for any particular use.
7. No Professional Advice
AHEA content and tools are provided for informational and educational purposes only.
Nothing on this website constitutes medical, legal, financial, employment, grant, tax, clinical, compliance, or professional advice. You should consult a qualified professional before making decisions that require expert guidance.
8. User Content
When you submit information into AHEA tools, you represent that you have the right to submit that information.
You should not submit sensitive personal information, protected health information, confidential organizational information, or information you are not authorized to share.
You retain ownership of your submitted content. By submitting content, you grant AHEA permission to process it as needed to provide the requested service.
9. Intellectual Property
The AHEA website, branding, text, designs, tool structures, prompts, templates, and related materials are owned by AHEA or its licensors unless otherwise stated.
You may use outputs generated for you for your own personal or professional purposes, subject to these Terms. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute AHEA tools, systems, or proprietary materials as a competing service.
10. Third-Party Services
AHEA may use third-party services such as Squarespace, Supabase, Vercel, Upstash, OpenAI, analytics providers, email providers, and payment processors.
Your use of third-party services may also be governed by those providers’ own terms and policies.
11. Availability and Changes
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the website, membership, or tools at any time.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
12. Refunds and Cancellations
Membership cancellation and refund terms may depend on the payment platform and membership terms shown at checkout.
Unless otherwise stated, cancellation stops future billing but may not automatically refund prior charges. If you believe there has been an error, contact us using the information below.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
The website, memberships, tools, and content are provided “as is” and “as available.”
AHEA makes no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AHEA will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, opportunities, or goodwill arising from your use of the website or tools.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AHEA from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your misuse of the website, violation of these Terms, or submission of unauthorized content.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
Your continued use of the website or tools after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
